name: Professor Diurnus Fastigium

gender: Male

race: No one knows. He has purposely kept his race unknown so as to avoid too much political debate within the school. Naturally people have speculated, to what race the headmaster might be, but as he is qualified as headmaster, he is quite naturally a rather good wizard. Therefore, he’s more than equipped to appear without race.

appearance: Tends to change constantly to keep people guessing, though he always has the full length silver and gold headmaster’s robes on for special occasions, accompanied with a large silver hat with gold trimming. When first he was appointed headmaster it has been rumored that he tried to have the colours changed as he felt it elitist, but there was simply far too much debate over it.

Element,
As with most aspects of his life due to politics he tries to keep such things under hat so to speak. However it has been noted that his control of wind and weather is some of the greatest magic seen around for many years. Of course, being at the ‘majestic’ age that he has come to be, Durnus has considerable skills in most of the elements.

leaning (light, dark, neither): Once again, he does tend to lead people to believe that he has no leaning. However with his shape shifting abilities, many think that it is more than likely that he is a product of either light or shadow stalkers.

what they teach: Diunrus does tend to stay out of the teaching matter of things, as he is often occupied with other matters of importance. However when needed he has been known to substitute for most subjects. He does tend to specialize in the conjuration area of subjects.

magical item: He doesn’t need an item, as he has already reached the level of thought wizard.

history:
Professor Diurnus Fastigium is a strange man. When the previous headmaster passes, their soul chooses the one who is next to be. This is shown by a gathering just after the funeral, in which all those who attended all wear hooded robes, so no one can see their face, and stand around a gigantic round table. Like roulette the table spins, and whoever it points at is the next leader. No one is to know who this is, as most don’t even know who attended the ceremony but themselves. This person is often required to lead a double life so as to not arouse suspicion. Many have also been known to fake their own death when an opportune moment passes such as freak accidents or mass killings. This process has become even more crucial and secret since the rise of the new government.

Due to such events not much is known of his past before becoming Diurnmus Fastigium.

However what I can tell you is that he has been headmaster of this school for nearing 43 years, and has managed to keep rivalry and other unfortunate happenings down to a minimum under his reign. Naturally this can be seen as both good and bad by different people, but in doing so, he has gained the respect of most of the magical community.
