Breaking news here at the action seventeen news station. Newly discovered creatures have been found in animals on a remote island where a strange and very old facility was found. Neither the location of this facility nor the island have not been released, but we have gotten inside information about these new life forms. The small bug like creatures where found inhabiting animals and so have been classified as parasites. These strange parasites seem to alter their hosts body according to either ones needs, but the animals seem to not be able to hold up to the strain in which this process inflicts upon them for an extended period of time. Research has been started and more news will be provided as it develops.

The new parasites discovered a few days ago, now having been named the Glafrintai Parasites, have been analyzed more closely now and have been discovered to have several different forms, but in each form variant there are specific types which seem to be constant. Gerald Ren: The first is a queen which lives by latching to the heart muscle and leaching nutrients from the out going blood. After an extended period of time it is impossible to surgically remove it from the heart without fatal damage to either. The queen seems to have full control over the rest of the parasites in the host body and also produces two kinds of larva, one of which only seems to hang about in a chrysalis, but is also very rare. The second is the first larva, this larva either stays around somewhere in the body, making its way to a blood vessel, surprisingly without harming the host body in any way, and then leaching nutrients from the blood until some how being given a signal and then quickly changing into another form classified later. The second type of larva quickly stores itself in a chrysalis and then later on when the host seems near death or is near another body, the chrysalis hatches and a new parasite emerges and then exits the body, often through the skin directly and then travel to the other possible host where it then mutates into a new queen after attaching to the heart. The next kind of Glafrintai parasite is a kind of Fixer which is very minuscule and travels within the blood stream and goes about the body and keeps the body healthy and in living conditions, even at the cost of the host's life. They even accelerate healing to a frightening degree. One subject had a broken leg and it healed in only a week after being rebroken and set. Also small abrasions are gone by the end of the third hour upon gaining them. The fifth kind is the Alteror, this is a very strange one which seems primarily to change the body in ways which benefit the host such as increase strength. The also seem to be the primary way in which any Glafrintai can get out as they can alter the skin to create a vent in which others can leave the body. The next kind is an interesting one, we have dubbed it the Conquerer as it seems to cause interference in other hosts and seems to merely paralyze the other, though we have detected a weird link between the conquerors and the queen in which makes it seem that there may be a possible implication of forced control over the inhabited host. The sixth type is the most strange, we just call them Breakers as they only are found in the stomach. Here they seem to take on the role of the stomach's own job by breaking down mater for distribution around the body. However, we have observed that they can break down many otherwise impossible substances such as stone and even metals. We have also found that the other parasites seem to take on the elements broken down by the breakers and so protect themselves better. The seventh type is the most obvious we have found and we consider the most dangerous. When the host is threatened Attackers are released. These attackers have three kinds of poisons we have found: a tranquilizing poison which seems to take little to produce and takes little to give effect, a paralysis venom which works quite well as one of our researchers was unfortunate to encounter, he's fine though so don't worry about him. And the final poison, which is a death sentence. This poison steadily kills the one who is effected and is very deadly if not dealt with within the hour. However, the antidote is not entirely difficult to create and so if one where somehow injected with this poison we could administer the antidote and the poisoned would be better within the week. As it is, these parasites seem to be very moronic aside from the queen. The queen always seems to exhibit intelligence in a learning form. The queen seems to teach their new queen larva while in the chrysalis to know everything it knows and so each new generation seems to know more and more in a way. Each one however is restricted to a low level of thinking so they are not even thought of as intelligent as cats. News anchor: More news as it breaks.

This is Action Seventeen News and welcome to the seven after nine news. Horror struck during a field trip for university students yesterday as a containment room was carelessly left unsealed and a student was infected with a flying strain of the still under study Glafrintai Parasites. There was an attempt at catching the boy as he panicked and ran from authorities, however when cornered the few attackers in his body followed through with their name and attacked. Current whereabouts are unknown at the moment, and no official knowledge has been made public as to who this was. Dr. Gligher with more information. Dr: Gligher: We are very sorry that this has happened to one of our youths and that it is now far past the time in which we could remove the parasites with current knowledge; but we would like to find this boy as soon as possible, not only could we learn more about the Glafrintai through study in a human body, but his very life may be in danger if all of our previous results with animals apply to humans as well. We need to find out who he was and hurry and find him before he spreads any of these parasites to any others. If that were to happen an outbreak could easily occur and hundreds of people could be infested. Currently we are working on a vaccine in which we could use to prevent the parasites from inhabiting a person, but it is only fifty percent effective at this moment. We will distribute this vaccine as soon as possible to the surrounding populace and hope that we can confine the area enough to contain and find these parasites. It does not help much for there to be such a large city near by either. Anchor: We at Action Seventeen News advise the administration of this vaccine as soon as possible as it is been found that many other and similar stains of the Glafrintai Parasites to have escaped this morning. This is Action Seventeen News with a new development in the Glafrintai menace that currently roams the streets under the guise of a 19 year old boy. The infested person’s identity has been revealed to the general public today as a young Knight Kingston. Yesterday, he was infested with a recently discovered parasite named the Glafrintai. I’ve been told by this piece of paper that a reward has gone out for his capture. Any who have been around him need to be sure to report to the Genten Labs for a check up to verify that hey are not infested themselves as Knight as been deemed highly contagious. Also, precautions should be taken when encountering him, any abnormal bugs should be avoided when around him as they may be Glafrintai parasite sub queens which may infest other people without their knowing. I personally would think that I would notice a bug entering my body, but I’m not about to go and look for this boy myself anyway. The reward is a surprising sum of $10,000 and any treatment needed from the lab medical or otherwise for life. This applies to groups as well I’ve been informed. The last known whereabouts of Knight are in the forested area near Cami City’s outskirts. Citizens in the area are advised to stay indoors and close up any vents in their homes. There is no fear of a prolonged state of any kind however, say representatives from Genten labs, as the Glafrintai are unable to exist outside of a body for more than four hours. This is Action Seventeen News with a startling update in the progressing Glafrintai proceedings. Genten labs was closed today as an investigation following still wanted Knight Kingston's infestation with the Glafrintai parasites. It was found that not only had he been exposed to the parasites on purpose, several other students may be infested as well. The current antidote on the market for defense against the Glafrintai has been deemed effective under tests by an independent lab. Coincidentally, this same lab is now conducting research in the wake of Genten's closure. Genten's staff were found free of Glafrintai but claimed that they needed to expose humans to the parasites in order to further study them. Unfortunately, it seems that now there are an unknown number of people now carrying the frightful creatures. However, in sightings of the currently searched for people, little to no people have been found carrying Glafrintai colonies. As it would seem there is a selectivity of some sort to hosts. We are unknowing why this is but the same precautions should still be made against the known carriers of Glafrintai. There will be a list of the currently assumed carriers after this broadcast. If you are on this list, report to the local authorities and or make your way directly to Highten Labs for treatment. In other news, tomorrow the lake is opened to fishing after its recent cleaning and now it has been stocked with fish and they are doing fine. There is no danger as to eating fish from the lake anymore and we can all enjoy our upcoming summer vacations. That is all for now, have a pleasant evening. {List of names}

I read this ages ago, but wasn't sure if you were going to update it any time soon so I didn't comment..
